  • Existing help section lacked proper hierarchy of information
  • Existing help section had redundant or out of date articles
  • Users were not able to search help articles
  • New help section must support mobile, mini-tablet, tablet & desktop
  • Must comply with WCAG 2.0 AA standards

Methods

Competitive Analysis

I analyzed competitor websites such as Instacart & FreshDirect.

Heuristic Evaluation

I documented instances of standard usability issues.

Card Sorting

I conducted open card sorting to define categories.

Sketching

I sketched and rapidly iterated design ideas.

Prototyping

I designed and prototyped a high fidelity interactive prototype.

User Testing

I conducted usability testing to find usability issues witht the design.

Deliverables

  • Hi-fi Interactive Prototype (Axure)

Results

  • New help section has a hierarchy of information that is more logical to users.
  • Users are able to search and browse help articles
  • New help section's fluid layout supports mobile, mini-tablet, tablet & desktop
